What is Perspectives?

The Perspectives Course takes us on an epic journey with God over 15 dynamic lessons which, give us a big picture view of God on mission to make Himself known and glorified in all the nations of the world. We will engage with a different instructor for each lesson providing a unique perspective from their knowledge and experience in God’s mission.

Perspectives is a course that tells the redemption story of God restoring His relationship with all the nations. We will see that He uses ordinary people in every generation to accomplish His mission purposes. This is the purpose He calls us to join Him in, a purpose so much greater than we could ever imagine.

Perspectives engages and equips believers through four main vantage points: Biblical, Historical, Cultural and Strategic. We will study the mighty work of God beginning in Genesis and continuing throughout history, gaining a greater understanding of the world and our place in it through the process. It will help us to grow our vision for God and His purpose, providing a context to explore and find our unique place in His eternal purposes.

Perspectives is not just a course to give you information but one that will provide you a dynamic experience that can change your life and that challenges you to respond. This is God’s work. We have the privilege to be part of it. He started and will complete it, giving us hope on the journey.

Core Ideas

The content of the Perspectives on the World Christian Movement course is undergirded by an integrated set of core ideas. While there are many other ideas in the course that are part of an orthodox Christian worldview, these core ideas are not commonplace. This document introduces these distinctives. Each of these is expanded in an accompanying document not only to articulate them, but also to differentiate them from other viewpoints.
